Ede Bodoki

Areas of Research/Expertise

Expertise in a broad spectrum of analytical tools applied in biomedical, pharmaceutical, environmental and food analysis, such as high performance electrodriven and chromatographic separations, advanced molecular spectroscopy (Raman, SERS), hyphenated analytical techniques (LC-MS, EC-MS, spectroelectrochemistry), affinity studies (isothermal titration calorimetry), (bio)electroanalysis and sensing employing various molecular recognitions surfaces, including molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs). MIPs are exploited both for their analytical value, conveying tailored selectivity, and more recently as drug reservoirs for controlled drug delivery. Furthermore, the study of various molecular interactions, including chiral, at solid or liquid interfaces and the electrochemical mimicking of Phase I oxidative biotransformation of various xenobiotics are also in focus. Throughout our research various chemometric tools (experimental design, multivariate data analysis) are constantly employed in method development, process optimization and data mining.
