My research group is generally developing new synthetic designs based on solvent- free chemistry, including mechanochemistry, ageing reactivity and thermochemistry. We are developing mechanochemistry in the context of applications (Green chemistry, pharmaceuticals, nanomaterials, metal-organic frameworks, cocrystals, metal and plastics recycling, mechano-enzymatic reactions, biomass chemicals), as well as fundamental understanding. In the context of understanding mechanochemical reactivity, we are pursuing the use and development of in situ monitoring techniques, as well as theoretical modelling approaches based on periodic density functional theory (DFT) modelling, and molecular dynamic (MD). |
